Short answer
Traffic-data security is the set of access, transfer, retention and review controls used to protect project files and sensitive observations through their useful life.
Scope the data first
Separate ordinary aggregated counts from footage, registration observations, location information or other material that may carry higher privacy or commercial risk. The project brief should state what is actually needed.
Use approved handling
Limit access to authorised project participants, use an approved secure transfer route, avoid public links and keep credentials out of email or spreadsheets. Retention and deletion dates should be agreed with the client.
Make delivery traceable
Provide the agreed outputs and a short handling note without publishing raw plates, faces, private contact details or unnecessary source video.
Frequently asked questions
Does aggregated traffic data always contain no risk?
No. Location, timing and project context can still be sensitive, so handling should follow the agreed scope and applicable requirements.
Can raw video be sent through the quote form?
No. The public form collects a brief; secure transfer is arranged separately.
